Title
How do you define strength?
Subject
Health and wellness
Description
Experience
This is a glimpse of the innovative training I did/am currently doing because I am incredibly passionate about building strength (it helped me overcome my eating disorder!) It was tough and cold before but only having my university room to exercise in makes me appreciate the days I had access to the building equipment. Nevertheless, this is what I am working with in my room (there is a 10kg bag of rice in my backpack). Let's hope this lockdown only lasts for four weeks and I continue my new powerlifting programme. A huge thank you to OUPLS (powerlifting society) who have given me a coach and programme to develop my strength before Varsity (fingers crossed it happens this academic year!).
About the picture(s)
Training from home was difficult (videos) and in my university room, even harder but staying in contact with a fitness community that is not ready to accept defeat makes all the difference! Posting such images not only motivated me but encouraged others to be innovative and change our ideologies of strength. We may have been apart but through technology, we were able to stay motivated. It is a major lifestyle of myself and many others and I know I will never give up.
