'About Cowley Road Carnival; Organised by Cowley Road Works, the Cowley Road Carnival is the region’s biggest and most celebrated public event held on the first Sunday in July and attended by around 50,000 people each year.  The Carnival is inclusive: it brings together all ages, and all ethnic, social and economic groups and is the culmination for a year-round cultural outreach programme.’ (Sarah Airey 2021).
