Growing your own veg!

Description

"We always had stacks of home grown veg , pretty much all year , so we never went short of food . You ate by seasons then, and if it was out you always had something else coming in. You looked forward to each season and the first of your favourite veg . I love , still grow all of it now , the first new spuds, carrots and broad beans of the year ( any day now 😋) butter salt n pepper , no meat needed. Or later runner beans and marrow , just a plate full no meat . 😋

"It’s something that has been lost , although I see more people interested in home growing again now. As an example , I just made some soup this morning , Leeks, Parsnips ,Carrots , Onions and Garlic from my own garden and the only costed item was 1/2 a sweet potato . Enough soup for 4 people for two days , no waste. It’s not about the money , it’s about resourcefulness, goodness and enjoyment . If we all did that the climate would be a lot better off."
